Oh M(ile)y Gawd... Rumour has it an appalled Anna Wintour has vetoed any plans for Miley Cyrus to feature on the much coveted front cover of American Vogue this December after the young performer’s much-lambasted VMA’s twerking. Foam fingers and latex underwear are not, it seems, the new black Miley.
Alexa Chung's 3rd British Vogue Cover
I cannot wait to get my hands on Alexa Chung’s THIRD British Vogue cover, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. I love Alexa’s well documented, nonchalant style, and this editorial goes to show exactly why; who else could look so effortlessly tomboy cool whilst wearing such pretty, romantic and girly gowns?!
To celebrate her October Vogue cover, Alexa has taken over Vogue.co.uk to share with us her own take on fashion history, beauty, culture and shopping - as well as revealing more details from her book, 'IT' (details of her book launch found here).

HAWT: Diane Kruger in Valentino
Hawt = A late 1940's and early 1950's acronym for "Having A Wonderful Time."
Now the word is used on the internet as slang for something reeeeally hot.
Diane Kruger, rarely off the Best Dressed lists, once again looked remarkable in this beautiful pink embellished Valentino SS’14 gown last weekend at the 2013 Venice Film Festival… Then again, how can she ever put a style step wrong with her favourite of evening accessories; the timeless and classic arm-candy that is Joshua Jackson.
Alexa Chung's 'IT' Launch
Model, presenter, DJ and now WRITER, Alexa Chung (right) wore a stunning, off-the-shoulder lace Carven SS’14 dress to her book launch and signing at Liberty London last night.
Having said categorically before the book’s release that ‘It’ would not be a style bible or an autobiography, the book shares with us her musings on life, love and music, and through words, illustrations and photographs, explains how she became Britain’s favourite ‘It Girl,’ a term Rudyard Kipling invented in his 1904 story Mrs Bathurst (“It isn’t beauty, so to speak, nor good talk necessarily. It’s just ‘It’.”)
Below: Daisy Lowe and Laura Bailey (wearing a beautiful Roskanda Ilincic AW’13 dress) alongside Pixie Geldof and Nick Grimshaw, turned out to support their friend.
"I wrote it because I was bored and wanted to create something alongside hosting television shows," Alexa admits. "I wanted an extra project to focus on and it was a good excuse to reflect on the last few years and rummage through some long lost photo albums."
The Evening Standard scathingly reviewed the book as ‘one great big enhanced selfie.’ Judge me as you wish, but as a loyal Alexa Chung Instagram follower I just don’t see that as a bad thing?! I can’t wait to get my copy!

Robert Pattinson for Dior Homme
A new uncensored clip from Robert Pattinson’s long awaited Dior Homme
campaign has been released. Directed by Romain Gavras, photographed by Nan Goldin and featuring model Camille Rowe, the black and white clip shows a brooding, chiseled Robert clad handsomely in Dior… I’ve never beeeen more #TeamEdward.
The 'Leading Ladies' of Marks and Spencer
This is not just any Autumn/Winter’13 campaign... This is an M&S Autumn/Winter’13 campaign. Goodbye lovely Twiggy and sweet Myleene, step forward Marks and Sparks’s latest line up of successful, creative and independent ladies (*insert preferred Beyonce song whilst reading); Helen Mirren, Grace Coddington, Ellie Goulding, Karen Elson, Darcey Bussell, Katie Piper, Helen Allen, Nicola Adams, Laura Myula, Monica Ali and a very miserable, almost pained, looking Tracey Emin (well, she is more used to mostly wearing Vivienne Westwood after all!) Shot by photographer Annie Leibovitz in various dramatic locations, including on a boat at Tower Bridge (above), this ‘womanist’ (ew!) campaign must have cost a fortune to put together. I can’t help but wonder if something a bit simpler (and maybe a bit smilier?!) may have been more cost effective.
HAWT: Olivia Palermo in 7 For All Mankind
Hawt = A late 1940's and early 1950's acronym for "Having A Wonderful Time."
Now the word is used on the internet as slang for something reeeeally hot.
Even when hitting the streets of NYC, smoothie in hand, Olivia Palermo’s off duty, casual double denim outfit still managed to look as beautifully polished and glossy as the lady herself. Wearing a vintage look, loose fitting 7 For All Mankind denim shirt, skinny jeans, neon camouflage flats by Pretty Loafers and so ‘of-the-moment’ festival friendly reflective-lens sunglasses, Olivia (and her permanently perfect red nails) looked HAWT!
Charlotte Olympia's Incy Collection
Charlotte Olympia, my FAVOURITE shoe designer of all time, has shrunk her favourite six pretty and playful flats, (including the Kitty Flats, left, loved by Alexa Chung) to fit the luckiest of little girls... I've never wanted smaller feet more. The collection, called Incy, takes inspiration from the 'Incy Wincy Spider' nursery rhyme.
"I always thought I'd design little shoes for little people as soon as I had a girl" said designer Charlotte Dellal,"however, with two boys now and a third child on the way - I decided to finally launch 'Incy' regardless. Maybe I'll have a girl this time!"

Cos Serpentine Summer Party
I attended the COS Summer cocktail party recently to celebrate their partnership with theSerpentine Gallery. The Swedish high street brand are sponsoring the Park Nights series, which will see the Serpentine Summer Pavilion hosting performances, film screenings and talks on Friday evenings over the next few months.
Cos have also created two limited-edition shirts (left, available here, RRP. £59.00) which were inspired by this year’s Serpentine Summer Pavillion installation designed by the Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto. The Pavillion (below) is ahhhmaaaahzing, a real must see/climb!
Prince George of Cambridge
The Regal Has Landed: Congratulations William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, on the birth of their son, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge!
The Royal Baby's christian name has provided some of the most memorable monarchs and the little Prince will be the third George from the House of Windsor to take the throne when he eventually takes the crown.
Once the new family had left the Lindo wing of St Mary's Hospital to meet the press and well wishers, William held the future king and joked, “he's got a good pair of lungs on him, that's for sure!" Sweetly William added, "he's got her looks, thankfully."
Twitter immediately exploded into a frenzy as soon as #RoyalBaby George entered the world, with 18,000 tweets a minute being posted.... I maaay have contributed to this.
Above: Was Kate’s custom-made cornflower polka dot sundress by Jenny Packham a nod to her late mother-in-law Diana? Diana also wore a polka dot smock leaving St. Marys hospital with William 31 years ago.
Above: The Royal Wave! Weighing in at a hefty 8lb 6oz, baby George is the heaviest future king to be born for 100 years. Fact. William weighed 7lb 1.5oz when he was born in 1982, whilst the Prince of Wales weighed 7lb 6oz upon his birth.
Kate and William have already been inundated with a deluge of gifts from friends, foreign dignitaries and public well-wishers for Prince George… but what do you buy the baby who has… well, everything?! Here are some of TLC suggestions...
