Cara Delevingne for Mulberry AW'13

From the moment Mulberry’s creative director Emma Hill sawCara Delevigne at the close of the the Mulberry London Fashion Weekshow earlier this year, she was adamant that owlny the young, striking model star in the brand’s A/W’13 campaign. “Cara was the first name in my mind for this season,” Emma said, “she's beautiful, bold and British."

Photographed by Tim Walker in the fairytale Shotover House in Oxfordshire, Cara posed with several owls and several hot new bags including the Willow and brand new Primrose.  All very British and all very cool.

Noble Macmillan

Noble Macmillan, tucked away on the sweetly cobbled Elvaston Mews, are well known for creating presents that are as genuinely unique as the shop itself.  Originally a 19th Century stable, and then a 1970’s garage, the shop has amazingly kept its beautiful original floor bricks, and given its distance from any highstreet, you feel like you are entering a secret, quintessentially British, treasure trove.

Walking through the doors I was met with the sight and smell of a myriad of colourful hand crafted leather goods and accessories. A rainbow of albums, diaries, visitor’s books, jewellery rolls, photo frames and backgammon sets, all of which can be personalised, are displayed.

Having struggled to find anything suitably stylish for my mini-iPad, I was particularly thrilled to see Noble Macmillan's brightly coloured collection of cases, and I adored their chic travel wallets.  This shop is perfect if you are looking for a classic one-of-a-kind present, especially for a friend’s wedding or notable birthday... or y'know, MY birthday ;)

Noble Macmillan have recently announced Otis Ferry as their Brand Ambassador,  having collaborated with the brand on a selection of journals which will be launched later this year.  Henry Samuelson, Managing Director of the leather accessories brand, says, "Otis represents the classic British Gentleman, whose passion for the British countryside combined with his urban edge fits perfectly with our brand."

I was lucky enough to have been sent this GORGEOUS Noble Macmillan leather notebook(below) in ‘Orange Tangerine’ with ‘Ibiza Pink’ embossing for all my summer scribbles!...

Thank you NM - I love it! xx

Trooping The Colour

The Duchess of Cambridge wore pale pink Alexander McQueen to Saturday's Trooping The Colour, a spectacular display of pageantry dating back to the eighteenth century, in what is expected to be her last official public engagement before she gives birth next month.  More than 1000 soldiers, horses and musicians took part in the annual parade which marks The Queen's official birthday.  The Royal family later gathered on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch a fantastically loud and proud aerial display by the RAF Red Arrows (left).

Chanel's 'Once Upon a Time'

To celebrate its 100th anniversary, Chanel has released a Coco Chanel film entitled 'Once Upon A Time.'   Shot by the brand's creative director Karl Lagerfeld, the 18 minute short film stars Keira Knightley as the label's iconic designer and focuses on the opening of her debut store in 1913, situated in the French seaside town of Deauville  which Lagerfeld allegedly went to great lengths to reproduce.  Models Stella Tennant and Lindsey Wixson, actress Amanda Harlech and Chanel muse Tallulah Harlech also make cameos.
This definitely demands a short coffee break Ladies... with a Kit Kat peut-être...?!

Winona Ryder for Interview Magazine

Beetlejuice… Heathers… Edward Sissorhands… Mermaids… Reality Bites… If you, like me, were obsessed with all things Winona Ryder in the 90’s you will be just as pleased to see her on the cover of Interview this month looking SMOKIN!  The barely aged 41-year-old (who is appearing in two films this year, ‘The Iceman’ and ‘Homefront’) looks fan-freaking-tastically fierce in this macabre, gothic shoot by British photographer Craig McDean
Wino Forever.

Massato London

This week I had an amazing blow-dry at the recently opened Massato London hair salon in South Kensington (54 Fulham Road, SW3).  Massato, a renowned Japanese hairdresser who has tousled the golden locks of Kate Moss and created styles which have adorned the covers of Vogue, already has three popular salons in Paris and two in Asia.  The London salon is bright, white, minimalist and modern with reclining chair beds for you to oh-so-comfortably have your hair washed and head blissfully massaged.  Whist sipping on champagne and being spoiled with sushi and sweets, my hair was treated with delicious smelling Massato ‘Bien Etre De Vos Cheveux’ products (available in store) and given some much appreciated va va voom volume and shine.
Merci, ありがとう, Thank you!

Massato London is open Monday - Saturday (9am-7pm)
(Blow-dry from £55.00)

Prancercising

Need a new exercise regime ahead of the summer? Look no further... Prancercising!  Described by its 61 year old creator Joanna Rohrback, in uncomfortably tight white leggings, as "a springy, rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to a horse's gait," prancercising has become an internet sensation.  The workout includes trotting ("it's really hot!") galloping ("we are gonna really cut the noose and let it loose!") and shadowboxing ("it's better to be punching into space than in your face!")  If horsing about along a path is neigh your thing, watching this video will at least have you in stitches.

Queen Elizabeth II Marks 60th Coronation Anniversary

Today marked the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation and this was celebrated in a service at London’s Westminster Abbey this morning.

In 1952, the then Princess Elizabeth, whilst on holiday in Kenya, received the news of her father George VI’s death and subsequently flew home a Queen.  16 months later she was crowned at the age of 27, with the service broadcast live to the nation.  Only Queen Victoria, who was Queen from 1837 to 1901, has reigned longer than Elizabeth II

The Dean told the congregation, “we gather to give thanks to almighty God for the faithful ministry and dutiful service the queen continues to offer God and the people of this nation, the overseas territories and the realms, and as head of the Commonwealth.”

Further events are being organized to celebrate the queen’s 60 years, including a four-day Coronation Festival in the gardens of Buckingham Palace (July 11 to July 14) and an exhibition of coronation outfits.  'Long Live The Queen!'

Above: I love the Emma Bridgewater special commemorative mug celebrating the coronation, now available for ½ price here (RRP. £19.95 £9.95)
