Jenna Lyons is a genius. The creative director of J.Crew’s SS’15 collection is, once again, filled with oodles of covetable clothes and accessories that had me compiling a wish list as I circulated the presentation. We previewed a series of ultra cool, effortless, professional yet playful looks, which I cannot believe we have to wait until March next year to get our hands on. Boyfriend jeans, drop-waist dresses, leather city shorts and pastel parkas were layered baggily over each other, with pastel tinted sunglasses and metallic clutches. I LIKE. A LOT.
Sophia Webster for J.Crew
British shoe designer Sophia Webster’s hugely anticipated SS’14 capsule footwear collection for J.Crew is just as playful as you would imagine, yet happily more affordable than the designer’s own branded styles.
Comprising thirteen bright and kooky pairs of heels priced between £240.00 to £525.00, this magical collection oozes personality. Jenna Lyons, J.Crew's creative director said of the collaboration, "Sophia's shoes are like miniature sets - a beautiful world for your feet to spend the day in."
"I was delighted when Jenna [Lyons] approached me to design a collection for J.Crew,"said Sophia. "The brand has a real sense of fun and colour that I love and I think that my designs compliment their clothes well."

2013 Flipagram
If you are enjoying a digital detox this holiday the latest, greatest app to take the (social media) world by storm may have, thus far, eluded you. Flipagram lets you choose photos from your camera roll, select a song from your music library, and then allows you to share the constructed montage. Along with pretty much everyone else on Instagram, I created my own 15 second flashback of 2013 filled with some of my year's highlights; new puppies (Atlas and Albas), new kittens (Harry and Lloyd), protests (against the ivory trade and the annual dolphin slaughter in Taji, Japan) and playing the Bongos with Cara Delevingne are featured admist my amazing trips to Los Angeles, Kenya, Berlin and Mallorca (below). Try it yourself - it's flippin' fantastic!
J Crew London Launch
You would have had to of been living under a rock to have not heard the preppy clad tremors of the J Crew brigade landing in London last week and I was thrilled to be invited (by balloon, no less) to their glitzy pre-opening party. With 227 stores across the United States, J Crew’s gargantuan 17,000 sq ft of flagship store fun at 165 Regent Street was buzzing with excitement; finally the Brits can have easy access to the label’s rainbow of cashmere, bejeweled accessories and clashing jacquard prints without having to fork out for the plane ticket alongside them!
The shop is divided into three interlinking sections, for men, women and children and is a visual feast. The evening's (J) crew comprised some of the biggest names in British fashion celebrating the launch by enjoying great music, a flip book booth, an enormous table of retro sweets (obviously I spent much of my evening hanging out here) and, of course, exploring the extensive preview of colourful designs which were immaculately displayed.
Below: I was lucky enough to have a chat with the unbelievably charming and awesomeJenna Lyons, creative director of J Crew and all round style icon (not to mention also the owner of the most perfectly long ‘selfie’ arms, as put to the test below!)
