Hello There: Full Disclosure

Or should that be 'Well Helloooooo There: Full Disclosure?!' I was really thrilled to be asked to curate an edit of TLC's top picks from the newest go-to lingerie and sleepwear haven, Full Disclosure.  Housing (or should that be bedrooming?!) an enticing mixture of stunningly lacy and racy lingerie sets and corsets, beautiful and flirtatious playsuits and baby-dolls, elegant silk robes and suspenders, all from both well known and loved names to some new and exciting brands I too have just discovered.  I mean, seriously, forget Lapland, THIS is where you want your Santa-Baby to visit en route to your Christmas stockings...

Check out the TLC edit HERE and if no one else will, go and spoil yourself!

Dolce and Gabbana's Christmas Tree at Claridge's

London’s Christmas party season kicked off this year at Claridge's, where for the second year running, Dolce and Gabbana designed the hotel’s magical Christmas Tree, and I was invited to celebrate it’s grand unveiling – all eight sparkling metres of it!  Covered in 300 hand-painted baubles, gold ribbons, and a multitude of flags, the tree was inspired by childhood memories and was surrounded by an enchanted forest.

Wearing my new Ingenue London Megan Long Sleeve Jumpsuit in navy blue velvet (RRP. £103.00) it dawned upon me that I clearly had NOT got the D&G memo… The festivally decorated lobby seemed filled with equally festively decorated ladies, all in little red lace dresses.  Move over the LBD, it’s Christmas!

Above:  Best pressie ever?  I found this teeny-weeny-eenie Woodland Fairy (a.k.a my buddy, Anna Kendrick) wrapped up in Dolce & Gabbana underneath the tree.

Above (L-R):  Martha Ward, Christy Osbourne, Emily Johnston, TLC, Amy Williams

Above:  "Well colour me happy, there's a sofa in here for twoooo!"

Above:  Heels off, robes on and Room Service... Anna and my after-party won!

Cyber Weekend: The ASOS Edit

The first time I ever heard of ‘Black Friday’ was at an American friend’s Thanksgiving lunch last year in Primrose Hill.  The Americans around the table seemed anxious they were missing out on the following day’s incredible sales and offers back in the US.  If you're still a little lost, 'Black Friday' was a phrase coined by the Philadelphia police in the 1950's after the chaos caused by shoppers flocking to the high streets after Thanksgiving to begin their Christmas shopping.  With stores keen to get as many people through their doors as possible, offers galoooore began, and a tradition born.

Like Starbucks, David Hasslehoff and Cronuts, Black Friday has also now arrived on our British shores.   Thankfully however, in 2014 we don’t all have to panic, elbows at the ready to brave Oxford Street or Westfield, as plenty of online shops and boutiques are also offering some incredible deals this 'Cyber Weekend' (you couldn't make this up!)  ASOS are amazingly offering 20% off ALL their products ALL weekend... Just LOVE those guys!  So, to spare you hours of trawling their site, I took one for the team and selflessly put together this edit for y’all… Just hover on the items you like for prices and click.  Yes, that’s right, you can also be thankful for me this weekend Pilgrims!

My Week In Beulah

Beulah London’s Lady Natasha Rufas Isaacs and Lavinia Brennan not only create elegant designs, loved and worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, but they also help provide a sustainable livelihood to girls rescued from sex trafficking in the Southern slums of Delhi. I for one, particularly enjoy feeling fashionable and virtuous at the same time, so was thrilled to feature in the girl’s recent #MyWeekInBeulah insta-campaign.  After having a blow-dry at Duck & Dry (my new fave) and my make up done by the gorgeous Charlotte Cowen, I went to the Bluebird Chelsea where I was able to get my hands on all the latest  beautiful, ethical designs, style them up à la TLC and take'em for a whirl (or a twirl as it turned out!)

Competition: Muru Jewellery's Dreamcatcher Eternity Necklace

I love wearing my long, gold vermeil Dreamcatcher Eternity Necklace by Muru, a London based jewellery company which draws inspiration from exotic cultures and mythologies.  I usually layer my Dreamcatcher, traditionally used by Native American tribes who believed the symbol to trap negative energy and help you achieve your dreams, with other favourites.

If you would like the opportunity to WIN a gorgeous Muru Dreamcatcher Eternity Necklace of your own (RRP. £94.00) follow ‘thelondonchatter’ on Instagram or Twitter, using #TLCComp. The winner will be contacted later this week - Good Luck!

RIP Oscar de la Renta

elle-01-oscar-de-la-renta-y8rcEp-h.jpg

Known for his bright colour combinations, full skirts and beautiful embellishment, Oscar de la Renta’s romantic and ladylike designs, regularly worn by socialites and starlets, captivated all our imaginations.

My favourite Oscar de la Renta moment? Carrie Bradshaw at MacDonalds…

“Oscar de La Renta sleeveless silk, full-skirted dress with black patent-leather bow belt… Now THAT is pure poetry.”

Beulah London's 'Bag For Love'

Lavina Brennan and Natasha Rufus Isaacs (left), the beautiful designers of the London-based ethical fashion label Beulah London, asked if I (amongst several other London ladies including, Millie Mackintosh, Donna Air, Cressida Bonas, Livia Firth, Princess Eugenie and Katherine Jenkins) to wear their ‘Bag For Love’ totes on Anti-Slavery Day this year.

Available HERE (RRP. £30.00)

As well as being extremely useful, the canvas bags are made by Freeset, a charity in Kolkata, India, dedicated to helping trafficked women by providing them with a steady income, a bank account and a chance to build a new life free from abuse. With approximately 27 million people in slavery today (of which 80% are female and 50% are children) this was a fantastic way to help raise awareness and I was really happy to have taken part in the campaign.

LFW SS'15: Jimmy Choo Townhouse Launch

LFW SS15.jpg

During London Fashion Week I went to Mayfair’s gorgeous new Jimmy Choo Townhouse on New Bond Street for an utterly spoiling, pre-launch party.

The three-floor house, complete with chandeliers and marble staircase, was designed by David Collins Studio and contains a VIP room, a champagne bar (yes, really), personal shopping services and more gorgeous shoes than your inner Imelda Marcus could possibly imagine.

Gorgeous sunglasses, leather handbags and delicious smelling fragrances were also on display, nearby a table piled high with Jimmy Choo’s limited edition red acrylic Phone Box Candy Bags, a bold and patriotic nod to the brand’s British roots.

We were treated to NARS manicures, plenty of bubbles and almost too sweet to eat Prêt-à-Portea pastries, the fashionably edible result of the recent Jimmy Choo collaboration with The Berkeley in Knightsbridge. I reluctantly left the Townhouse, restraining myself from outright claiming Squatters Rights, with the most enviable, goodiest of goody bags (below).

TLC LOVES... JIMMY CHOO:

LFW SS'15: Mulberry

After receiving what must go down in the history of London Fashion Week, the prettiest of invitations (above), I found the Mulberry’s SS’15 collection a breath of fresh air… literally!

Taking inspiration from an English country garden, the Mulberry showroom on Kensington Church Street had been transformed into a sweet–smelling, country oasis, filled with the most vivid blue delphinium flowers and hyacinths.  The gorgeous SS'15 collection, which includes laser-cut leather and hand-sketched floral prints, is totally chic and perfect for the ‘come rain or shine’ weather we are so used to experiencing in our finer months!

Below:  I was sent home with one of these adorable Mulberry Cornflower Seedbombs!

Having previously been sold on the latest Mulberry Kensington Bag range, I actually found it was actually this particular SS’15 Mulberry Delevingne Bag (below, that can also be used as a backpack) that caught my eye most… Pennies are already being saved! #MulberryFund
