Lighting Up Puerto Rico with Tara Summers

Two months ago my good friend, actress Tara Summers, went to Puerto Rico to work on a film. Knowing she was about to witness much of the destruction left in Hurricane Irma and Maria's wake, Tara started a GoFundMe Page to raise money to take some $25 solar powered lamps with her, which the International Medical Corps had advised her would be really useful.

FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS (and counting!) later, the lamps, which are charged in the sunshine and last 8hrs, have made a real difference to so many, especially the elderly and the young, at this more than challenging time.  

I met up with Tara for a cuppa whilst in New York and asked her to tell us more…

Topshop with Tara Summers

I recently took British actress Tara Summers personal shopping at Topshop, Oxford Circus, whilst she was over visiting from LA.  An old friend of mine, Tara is best known for her role as Katie Lloyd in ‘Boston Legal,’ for starring in ‘Damages’ and also ‘Ringer.’  I'm very excited about her latest venture, acting alongside Greg Kinnear in new TV show, ‘Rake.’  Tara was on the hunt for some smart, but comfortable, daywear to wear with both blue and black jeans.  We shopped until we literally dropped (which luckily was atDean Street Townhouse - below - one of the best places to collapse btw!)

Musical Moment - Snow Patrol ('Called Out In The Dark') with Tara Summers

London born actress Tara Summers, who has previously held roles in shows including Dirt, Boston Legal, Damages and Private Practice has now taken to dancing in handcuffs... Calm yourselves now… Tara plays the despairing director in the new Snow Patrol music video for ‘Called Out In The Dark’ – with fellow Brit Jack Davenport also featuring - the results are hilarious.

(A heads up - These backing dancers can be held wholly responsible for the new beyond awesome moves I plan to unleash at my friend’s wedding this weekend...)

Rocking her new Jessica Rabbit flame red hair, striking beauty Tara Summers is currently filming CBS's new show Ringer (left) alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ioan Gruffudd, which will be shown on Living in the UK later this year.
